Welcome Ladies and Gents, to an informative Post WWE Draft edition of Gettin' Open with EddaDrama.

So following the PPV WWE Extreme Rules, RAW had it's annual Draft. Here's what RAW and Smackdown has after it's 3hr Draft Special...

RAW - 4 Picks

SmackDown - 4 Picks
1) Kelly Kelly

2010 WWE Supplemental Draft
LIVE! Tomorrow beginning at Noon Eastern on WWE.com

Edge didn't take much time makin' a quick name for himself by gettin' involved in the main event match on RAW, and costing Randy Orton a shot at the WWE title. Does this mean a rivalry between Edge and Orton? And what does this do for Sheamus who was ready to take his spot as No. 1 contender? Plus..How many chances is Batista supposed to get...before he quits the WWE? I can't wait to see the answer to these questions, and much more.

THE RANT EPISODE 136 GOES LIVE TOMORROW NIGHT AT 8pm ON BLOG TALK RADIO!

This week, we will give an update on the latest new in the world of professional wrestling. We also will talk about what happened at WWE Extreme Rules and the 2010 WWE Draft. In addition to that, we will discussion the shocking releases that came out of the WWE late last week and we will also talk about Batista leaving the WWE. And more updates from the camp in Orlando, Florida called TNA Wrestling. Ask The Rant, Outside Wrestling Stories, and a whole hell of a lot more.

Gettin' Open-with EdDaDrama

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, a Post-TNA Lockdown edition of Gettin' open-with EddaDrama.

This week it's all about TNA, the PPV, the Champions, the questions, and while we're at it, lets talk a bit about some of the matches that happened at Lockdown.

So..at this point we know who won and who lost, lets get a bit deeper...
About the PPV Lockdown and the actual Steel Cage...

First off This Lockdown PPV was ok, and in fact was the best PPV I have seen TNA do since Hogan and Flair's arrival. I'll give it a 3 out of 5.
I wondered what things would be like without "6 sides of steel", but this cage was ok. All black cage on 4 sides with the traditional door for escape option.
The cage did it's job and withstood an entire card of people gettin' rammed and slammed up against the steel.
So, we got to see a new TNA Knockouts champion crowned, a new X-Division Champion...thou I do have an issue here. We also go a double dose of Kevin Nash...Nash destroyed Eric Young and was technically done for the night. But with a No show from Syxx Pac, Nash decided to take his place making it possible for the "outsiders" to team up against Team 3D. So um...what happened to Pac? You know...Just when they get Scott Hall on the right track...this happens, and once again Nash is there to pick up the pieces....Yeah, again!
All this, and we still got to see everyone's favorite Hulk Hogan beat Ric Flair's ass...and it felt fresh. Credit a nice assist from Eric Bishoff. Keep in mind this isn't everything that happened, just some of my favorite stuff.
So my other beef besides Syxx not showing up for no apparent reason, was the other no show issue. Doug Williams couldn't make it because he was stuck in Europe...Seriously, everyone that's out there tryin' to leave has to wait for clearance because of a volcano that erupted....true story. But that didn't stop TNA from stripping him of the X-Division title and having another guy take the 3rd spot in the Triple threat match. Homicide earned the 3rd spot, but Kaz won. I'm sorry...but What?! Stripped Williams of the belt? Bad enough he had a match where he didn't even have to get pinned to loose the belt, but now this happens? That's wrong. Williams just got boned.
Ok that's it..I was ok with just about everything else. TNA Lockdown was a plus for TNA for a change. Now they gotta carry this wave as far as they can. Then start makin' new waves.

THE RANT EPISODE 135 GOES LIVE THIS TUESDAY NIGHT AT 8pm!

This week, we will give an update on the latest new in the world of professional wrestling. We also will talk about what happened at TNA Lockdown. Also we will talk about the nightmare the WWE Superstars
went through in terms of travel this week. In addition, we will run down the card and give our predictions for WWE Extreme Rules. Ask The Rant, Outside Wrestling Stories, and a whole hell of a lot more.

Gettin' Open-with EdDaDrama

Back with the first blog since Wrestlemania (for real?)....it's The Rant's own, Gettin' open with your boy...EdDaDrama!

Yes...your dude is back, and a lot has happened since I've been away. Forgive me for a sec. I got big news today that my NY football Jets just picked up the Steelers star Wide receiver, Santonio Holmes in exchange for a 5Th round draft pick. Of course, there's more detail to this, but I'm very excited nonetheless.

Ok...on to some Wrestling. Now where to start? How bout the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. Jack Swagger.
Champions | World Heavyweight Champion - Jack Swagger | Double A Themes
Since winning the MITB ladder match at Mania, and cashing it in on Chris Jericho to become champ. There's been a lot of discussion about Swagger's credibility as new World Champ. A question I would have for the WWE Universe is, if not Swagger, then WHO should've won MITB? WHO should've then beaten Jericho to become World Champ? Would someone else really been more credible as champ right now? Personally I don't think so. Don't get me wrong. I had either former ECW Champ Christian to win, or even the Intercontinental Champ, Drew McIntyre. (Don't he look like he was trained by Randy Orton or somethin'?) Truth is, everyone had somethin' to prove in the ladder match. And if MITB does here what it has done in the past, taking stars to the top of the food chain....then the All American, American is poised and ready to cash in on the opportunity.

TNA Knockouts vs WWE Divas...
As of this post we actually have a NEW WWE Divas Champ...Eve Torres. Just last week we saw a new TNA Knockouts champion in Angelina Love. Both companies makin' moves...but this seems to be the one area where TNA shines. The TNA knockouts have been gettin' better since the inclusion of the Knockouts Tag Team Titles. At the same time, the WWE Divas have gone south. And it's lookin' more and more like WWE made a big mistake turning their heads on the real WWE Women Wrestlers in favor of the Diva friendly roster.
Back to TNA though... While the Knockouts are doin' their thing, the men still need a lot of work. Today' little "Pre Impact" show if you will, was very smart. This was a good way to recap last week's Impact show, and let people know what's in store for not only this week, but the upcoming PPV, LOCKDOWN. Equally as smart is the move to 8pm as opposed to the launched time of 9pm. It's still a 2 hr. show, but it's smart to come on before RAW instead of goin' head to head like Hogan first wanted to. By having their 7pm show before Impact...it's almost like having a 3hr. show anyway. TNA may want to keep this stuff goin' for awhile. This is a good way to get perhaps a new audience if not anything else.
